App permissions: notifications and location

You can see and change permissions in Settings → App permissions.

Permission	What we use it for
Notifications	Telling you about messages, reminders and account updates, and when your pet leaves a safe zone.
Location	Showing nearby services, maps and routes using your device’s location.

Your phone asks for camera and photos access only when you are about to add an image, such as your pet’s photo.

The tracker does not use your phone’s location

Your pet’s position comes from its GPS tracker. You do not need to give Petxam location permission to see it.

If it shows as blocked

“Blocked” means the permission is on in Petxam but off in your phone or browser settings. Turn it on there:

• iPhone: Settings → Petxam.
• Android: Settings → Apps → Petxam → Permissions.
• Browser: the padlock icon next to the website address.
