QR and NFC tags (Pet ID)

A Petxam tag is a stable link you can put on a QR code or an NFC plate for your pet’s collar. Scanning it opens the pet’s public profile. A tag never contains private pet data.

Create a tag

1. Open My Pets, choose the pet and tap Pet ID.
2. Tap Add tag, give it a Tag name (for example “Collar plate”) and choose the Tag type: QR, NFC or QR + NFC.
3. Tap Create tag, then Copy link to write it to your plate or generate the QR code.

For the tag to show anything, the public profile must be Published.

Manage a tag

• Disable: the tag stops working until you turn it back on.
• Mark lost: if you lost the plate. Whoever scans it will see it was reported lost.
• Revoke: cancels it for good. Use it if the plate is no longer in your hands, then create a new one.

What someone scanning a tag sees

Message	Meaning
The pet’s public profile	All good.
Public profile unavailable	The tag works, but the public profile is not published.
This tag is not active	The owner disabled it.
This tag has been reported as lost	The owner marked the plate as lost.
This tag is no longer active	It was revoked.
